It's Friday . . . Let's Dance

Let's have some soothing, cool Northern Soul today. Don't know much about today's record apart from the fact that it will set you back upwards of 500 quid, if you're lucky enough to find a copy.

Frankly, in this heat I can't be bothered even trying to write anything remotely interesting and lately I have been wondering why bother anyway?

What a lovely track; that vocal!

Why bother? To fill the silence between the grooves, baby.

Why bother with blogging?? Why not?

Grand track, I have it on one of those Goldmine Northern Soul CDs. Lots of very rare tunes turn up on those...

Because across the bits and bytes, you speak for us who, while we may read your lucid thoughts with wrapt attention, marvel at how you share our tastes in music and wait on the edges of our seats for you to expose us to new tunes that we know we'll love even before you post them, we are restricted or paralyzed from blogging ourselves.

So, in this small way, you certainly speak for me. And I thank you and respectfully request that you continue.

PR Watchmaker are you extracting the urine?

The thoughts expressed here are seldom lucid.

It gets a bit lonely, doesn't it.

Because it lets you look back at yourself and, just sometimes, be quietly pleased (to be honest) - because you should do it for you above and before doing it for anyone else, and it's nice (what a word, but true) to look back and think 'I did that' - maybe not about every post but often, for all of us, I think. xx

OTT, perhaps (probably), but running off with your liquid waste, no.
You are far too humble.
So, perhaps not "lucid", but certainly interesting and enough to make me visit your blog at least once a day, which is more often than the commercial sites see me.

Just keep keeping on Drew.
