Today's slab of prime soul is another one where the flip side is the song for me that's not to say that the a-side, Dear John isn't a very good song it's just Here Am I is even better. This was Jackie Moore's first single and a finer piece of Jacksonville by way of NYC soul you will be hard pressed to find it was first released on the Bang Records subsidiary Shout in 1968 and was given a release this side off the pond three years later.
