Did you catch Gladys Knight on Later last week? What an incredible voice she still has. She has always been my favourite of the really famous soul singers. Her performance was in stark contrast, sadly to that of Martha Reeves, who was terrible when she appeared on the Hootenanny.

Love that both these tracks.
Yeah she was great on Later - a couple of faves are Got Myself A Good Man - (but the Pucho and The Latin Soul Brothers version is even better)
And of course her pre Marvin Gaye version of Grapevine is another killer in the catalogue
I've come to appreciate her more and more - what a glorious, glorious voice she has, and how underrated she actually is in the scheme of things.
