Fourteen Years

Fourteen years ago this very day I was standing in a Registry Office in Lanark, rather nervously saying I do despite the couple of swift Laphroaig's I had in The Cave on my way there.

Then we went down the clyde valley and had a rather splendid do and purvey.

This one's for L for putting up with me for what seems like no time at all to me but probably a lot longer to her.

Thirteen Years Ago Today

Thirteen years ago this very day I woke up shitting myself,  had a pint and a couple of Balvenie 15 year olds, went down to the registry office made it all official and then attended  one of the best parties I've ever been at.

This one's for L,  for putting up with the best Victor Meldrew impersonator in the world for nearly twenty years and also the mission creep of the vinyl in the "dinning room".

12 Years

It has been a busy weekend in our household what with the bowling etc yesterday and today being our wedding anniversary. L and I have been married twelve years today, sometimes it feels much longer (for her, not me).

Anyway this year we won't be doing much,  we have a two hour pass this afternoon, courtesy of the sister in law, so we will probably go for a couple of drinks in what was our local. Unfortunately, I am on the 7am flight to feckin' Luton tomorrow morning, which kind of  curtails the celebrations. The only positive thing about this is that I'm also coming home tomorrow and don't have to stay in Luton, Sleasy Jet permitting.

Since it is our anniversary here is probably L's favourite song from the past decade.
