RIP Phil Taylor
Saddened to hear of the death of the drummer of my favourite Motorhead line up, Fast Eddie on guitar, Philthy Phil on drums and Lemmy on bass and vocals.
I'm with you there Drew. I didn't really discover Motorhead until midway into this lineup's first stint. This was Metal that even a Punk Rocker could find some redeeming aspects in. Hard, fast and noisy. There was a swagger in that Motorhead lineup that you knew was filled with mischief. I will never forget they were cover stars of Zigzag Magazine # 97 and shared the pages with Talking Heads, Ellen Foley, Gary Numan and The Pretenders. Kris Needs new a good thing when he heard it.

The first time I ever heard Motorhead was when they performed Ace of Spades on the Young Ones. Yep, that's Phil on the kit. Epic.
