Seven Days Is Too Long

It's the August Bank Holiday down south today, one which my company since the closure of the office in Edinburgh makes me adhere to. Which although I take exception to having to fall in line with my southern colleagues I do secretly quite like as the boys are at school and L is at work meaning I have the day to myself. Today it will consist of getting some more miles clocked up on the scooter.  This weekend sees the largest of the UK scooter rallies at the Ilse of White and also the Brighton Mod Weekender, So in honour of both of these toady's track from 1967 is one that was huge on the scooter scene in the mid to late 80s and was covered by Dexy's Midnight Runners on the classic first album.

cracking day for it Drew.

Contrast with mine which was as tough as it gets with a 3-hour board meeting followed by a visit from a Cabinet Minister....looked out at the sunshine and thought 'bollocks....why can't I work for an English based lot and get today off?'

CC - I think the original edges it. But you know the old joke about soulies?

How many soulies does it take to change a lightbulb?

One to change it and three or four hundred to remark with contempt that it's not as good as the original.

and by the way didn't get many miles done on account of being struck down with the unbearable pain of an abscess in my jaw that even Sopadol can't shift!

If I did a Northern Soul countdown like you did, this would be in my top 5.
