Beyond The Sun

The other night on Twitter SA posted a lovely picture of the sunset in Sale with the now legendary question asked of Rickie Lee Jones "What were the skies like when you were young" to which I replied attempting humour with "Grey and pishin' doon". Okay I thought it was funny whilst also being very very true. The sunset here was lovely last night and the previous night an' all by the way. Anyway, it got me thinking of another track I had that lifted the RLJ now famous reminiscences. It is tucked away at the end of the absolutely brilliant Crack In The Sky ep from last year by Clandestino. A 12" single that was made to soundtrack the balmy evenings that we have been having over the past few days which are sadly far too few and far between in this part of the world. So if you are in the UK and the weather hasn't broken yet tonight, get a cold beer sit out in the garden and give this a spin, better still buy a copy of the 12" in preparation for next year when you may have the opportunity to do it again. those of you such as George and Luca can just carry on as normal and there is absolutely no need for you to fill the comments with how good the weather has been for the last however many weeks/months.

The sunset above was taken a couple of weeks back in Machrihanish you can just about make out Jura on the horizon..

Okay: it's another sunshiny day here at the beach and I've just had spaghetti with seafood accompanied with some fine, cold white wine. As I'm lying on a sunbed I'm very much looking forward to listen to the tune you posted..

C'mon, you DID see this coming :-)

Go on. I can take it.

Btw, not everything is perfect here. After all, I'm on vacation with my mother-in-law.

i was going to let you know that out the back of our tenement, on the south-side of Glasgow you get to see some stunning skies, but Luca has ruined it.

Truly sorry. I was only joking. Yesterday I was probably a little bit obnoxious and somehow bored and it took the better of me.

No apologies needed Luca, it is termed "ripping the pish" here what you did yesterday and perfectly acceptable.

Thank you. As much as I love playing the villain, I alvay fear that I've crossed the line. And I got to learn something new this time!
