It's Friday . . . Let's Dance
What is there to say about this record?
It's Primal Scream remixed by Weatherall that's all you need to know.
I seem to remember waiting for ever for this to come out. When I finally got it home and put on side A I thought, that's good, that's very good. Wonder what side A is like?
Turned it over and fuck me did it not just blow me away.
Have a good weekend people.
I'm up early and into Glasgow to queue for a couple of hours outside Monorail, my favourite record shop and then hopefully get everything on my list. Then it's up to Forbidden Planet with Max and then to Edinburgh with L for an early birthday meal and overnight.

I sometimes think this is the best record ever made. Seriously.
I've less than no money at the mo so am going to have to sit on my hands and miss record shop day.
I sometimes have similar thoughts SA.
Keep playing the Weatherall mix of the new one but it is not doing it for me. as a mate said on twitter the other night "you always hope it's going to be a belter but . ."
I've set myself a budget but I know I won't stick to it and will regret it in a fortnights time when I realise what I have spent and what it was on.
The question this evening is do I need a red and white splattered copy of Psychocandy when I has a vg+ original copy in my box?
The second Weatherall mix on the new PS 12" is the one for me- very good I think.
Not sure you do need a red and white splattered copy of Psychocandy. But when did 'need' ever count for much in record buying?
It's no Nebraska SA!!
Out of intrest Drew, what time time do you start queueing for record day...never ventured to one before but being a sucker for all things FGTH need the new picture disc....and a few others as well..
was planning on going straight from DJing to Leeds...am I going to look a plum being outside at 4a.m or do people get ther even earlier from your experience?????
Curse you, I'd put thoughts of RSD out of my mind, but now I'll have to look at the releases.......hmm, not too mindblowing really. Wouldn't mind the 7" of Urban Guerilla, or the Herman Dune 10". I might pop into my nearest participating shop later in the afternoon and sift through the debris.
word verification: hempsych, that's the best one I've ever seen.
Will they have any Dooleys?
'We Are The Chosen Few' on strictly limited 'Kathy's knickers lilac' final Dickie, I'm in the queue now
I've tried both mixes SA but not feeling it. Expectations too high, though I don't know how since I've liked very little since Kill All Hippies with the exception of Sometimes I Feel So Lonely and Weatherall's mix of Uptown
it's that mix of Uptown that has me hoping still for somethign to blow me away
I'm the same Ctel but it hasn't happened since
Wonderful stuff. I know and love this song for long time. But never heard this remix before. What a shame to me.
And btw. buying records is out of ratio. It's only in for pleasure.
You're right about the Uptown remix- miles better than the current ones.
Sorry EDJ, didn't see your comment until today. I think people do queue all night. I'm sure that the ones at the front at Monorail were there all night. Hope you got all you wanted if you bothered.
