It's not the fact that he prefers QOTSA, he was employed by the BBC to do the coverage of the festival and when he had to comment on somebody he clearly disliked, he acted like a petulant child, it was actually quite funny. As for the excuse that he had to go home and see his children rather than do the post concert interview, I don't know about you but my kids are in bed well before midnight, pretty pathetic really.
I am sick and tired of people trying to dictate who can and can't play Glastonbury, it didn't begin as an indie rock festival,
As for the private concert for Gaddafi, I cannot comment as I was not aware of this and I I'm not sure that that was Mr Lowe's reasoning but if he did feel so strongly about Beyonce's presence at the festival why agree to do the coverage?
For me Beyonce's performance was outstanding and I have never really been that much of a fan but did like a few Destiny's Child records.
