I knew that their had been quite a few versions of Frankie and Johnnie (Johnny) over the years but didn't realise until I consulted the oracle that there has been at least 256 by the likes of Dylan, Elvis and Lindsay Lohan (for fuck's sake!). This quite raucous Rockabilly version comes from Bob Vidone And The Rhythm Rockers was released in 1959.

Really like this version but it pales almost into insignificance compared with Lonnie Donegan's mighty mighty version
