Lost Your Love Of Life?

My 3 year old has been running about the house for weeks singing this or in the car asking "play too much apple pie, daddy". But he is never sure whether Tommy is running away with Harry's wife, or Harry's walked away with Johnie's wife.

Have to admit that it is one of my favourite songs as well.

I have never really bothered with the Wedding Present, although I've liked a few things here and there. Where's best place to start?

i would start with Take Fountain from 2005, my personal favourite, then Bizarro and then you will be hooked. I think that you will really enjoy T F Si.

I'll have a look at that. I actually liked the Albini stuff, and the monthly singles, but never really looked into them further. The after effects of C86, which was never really my favourite musical time. I always associate them with that.

Don't you think George Best is a tremendous album?

I love Kennedy era TWP. Wishing my son is going to be so cool in his tastes.

Those 2 bruisers look like they have Irn Bru on their cornflakes.

RAF Machrihanish is now a civilian airport with two flights a week from Glasgow. All the shelters etc are now used for wind turbine production and other local firms.

A few weeks ago in the Herald it said that the area was one of the most radioactive in Scotland. That begs the question what were all those transport planes using the longest airstrip in Europe, carrying

George Best is great George but for me it's third behind the two I've listed

Take Fountain is great, you're right, it's almost like a different band, you can tell it started in his other band. The vocals especially are really good, completely different sound to how he used to be. Very impressed. I also dug out the Hitwave things which I hadn't listened to for a while. Always liked those, I love the idea of recording songs and putting them out quickly, always have.
