Soul Self Satisfaction

Here is another belter of a track, I really need to use another word to describe these records. Out of Chicago and released in 1967 as a demo only which became a crowd pleaser at the Torch. This song has everything, a distinctive intro, lyrics about loss and heartache and a tempo aimed directly at the dancefloor.

Not a bad way to start a Monday.

Excellent track, and what a fine fine description, you put me to shame. My father-in-law did not like it, but then again he's a huge Adele fan.

Your blurbs also put me to shame! I'm a real fan of these Northern classics. Having never experienced the scene, I'm forced to live it vicariously through the tunes and the stories of those who were there.
