. . . I am wallowing in the glorious noise that is Psychocandy and the pure pop of Darklands at the moment. Two absolutely brilliant albums that have stood the test of time. I really loved the Mary Chain back then.

It's alarming how good the JAMC were. So influential too. Saw them a couple of times, once on the Rollercoaster tour with MBV, Dinosaur Jr and erm... Blur. Also saw them at the Kilburn National around the time of Automatic. The whole place felt like it was going to break out in to a riot at any moment, so tense was the atmosphere they created.
Impressed Drew how did you do that.

Jase - at the time I couldn't stand Automatic and over the years although I haven't learned to love it like the first two I do listen to it from time to time.
Great image. Think the first two albums are flawless- Automatic and Honey's Dead would make a great lp between them.
