Sometimes when I'm feeling a bit down I like to put on the BMX Bandits or the Pastels and be transported back to a time when I still had the optimism of youth and Glasgow/ Lanarkshire had a thriving indie music scene which 99.9 per cent of the 'shire was blissfully unaware of.
This should have been a single and it should have been huge.
The Pastels - Nothing To Be Done
I love this album so much, every song on it except for the one that they did actually release as a single Baby You're Just You, weird choice.

Jen - He's always behind the counter in Monorail but have never really had a conversation with him, other than to ask if they have such and such. He did comment on a Comet Gain split single when I bought it, saying that he thought the Crystal Stilts track on the other side, Through the Floor was the best thing that they had done.

It's a brilliant album - such a shame that it hasn't been re-released - a new generation need to hear it. Finally found a copy of The Springfields single where they cover "Million Tears" which I really liked.
